On Saturday 14th April at the Big Sheep, Little Cow Farm Centre at Bedale members of North Yorkshire Fire and Service and other agencies joined together to help raise money for the Macauley Miracle Fund.

Representatives from the Fire and Rescue Service, Police, Paramedics, Air Ambulance and the Highways Agency were all there to lend their support to the Macauley Miracle Fund. The fund was set up to give support to the remaining relatives of the boy who lost four members of his family in a horrific accident on the A1.

The event was organised by Retained Firefighter Michael Kiddle from Bedale Fire Station, who was joined by his colleagues for the day.

Staff from the Farm Centre donated their wages for the day and the proceeds from some of the rides have also been given in support. Staff from Bedale Fire Station have also pledged to donate their wages to the fund. Fire and Rescue Service Group Manager Simon Gibson says:” The event was extremely well attended and people were extremely generous. I would like to thank everybody who gave up their time to attend, as well as a special thanks to Firefighter  Michael Kiddle who organised the event.”

The final total raised was over £650.
