Launch of Media Line

 NORTH YORKSHIRE FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE LAUNCH DEDICATED MEDIA LINE

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service is pleased to launch a dedicated Media line, giving current information on incidents around the County. The Media line uses a recorded ‘Voice bank' message system, which is updated on a 24hr basis by the Control room.

In providing this facility, we are aiming to provide current and timely information for Media outlets.

Media outlets are requested to call the Media line for information first, should you require any further information, call the dedicated Press Line, or the Communications and Media Team. Please do not use any other numbers to contact the Control Room, as your call may not be answered.

We look forward to providing you with the most up to the minute information. This will be beneficial to all, particularly during busy periods.

I would like to request that Media outlets contact the Media line first in all circumstances, allowing Control Room Staff more time to concentrate on their duties.
