Success for Flagship Mentoring Scheme
Yorkshire Accord Mentoring Scheme Celebration Event: Tuesday November 27th, the Guildhall,
Yorkshire Accord Mentoring scheme is an innovative scheme involving many of The judging panel of the National Training Awards commented that the scheme has “resulted in impressive outcomes for participants and might be considered as a model which could be reproduced for local and regional public bodies across not only the country but also internationally.” The scheme matches mentors and mentees across organisations, providing benefits which include shared good practice, broadened perspectives, the introduction of new ways of working and producing more confident and skilled managers to meet business challenges.The Celebration Event on 27th November will be attended by, amongst others, Councillor Brian Phillips, Deputy Leader of Hambleton District Council, Andy Trowsdale, Assistant Chief Fire Officer, David Collins, Assistant Chief Constable and Professor Trevor Sheldon, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of York. Keynote speeches will be delivered by The Assistant Chief Constable of North Yorkshire Police David Collins, Rachel Mann Chair of the Learning and Skills Council and Andy Trowsdale the Assistant Chief Fire Officer. The event begins at 11.00 am, speeches begin at 2.00 pm and participants in the scheme will be presented with certificates by senior representatives from their organisations at 2.45 pm.
