Coast Way Round Grand Finale 14th JulyTitle: Coast Way Round – The Grand Finale Date: 10th July 2008 On the 1st July 2008, two firefighters from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service set off on an epic journey around the mainland coast of the UK, to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.Andy Creasey and Stuart Hopkin have spent the last two weeks riding their motorbikes around the coast of the UK, and taking part in Charity Car Washes at Fire Stations along the way. They have already held charity car wash events at:
On Monday 14th July they are heading back home and they need your support. They are setting off from the A1085, Coast Road, Redcar, Cleveland at 1200hrs and riding into Marine Drive Scarborough at around 1400hrs. They are asking for any bikers who want to join them to ride the final 42 miles to come along and meet them in Redcar. The finale will end at Marine Drive with appliances from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service including the Aerial Ladder Platform from Scarborough Fire Station attending to welcome the guys back, there will also be a representative from The Fire Fighters Charity and hopefully a crowd of supporters!
