Recruitment Open Day Helmsley on 20th September

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are currently recruiting Retained Firefighters for various stations across the service area including Pickering and Helmsley

Retained firefighters are professional firefighters trained by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, but who work on a part-time basis. Rather than being based at a Fire Station, retained firefighters provide on-call cover from home or their place of work. They respond to emergencies when their pager alerts them so they must work or live approximately four minutes travel time from the station.

As part of this on-going recruitment campaign, a Recruitment Open Day is being held on the 20th September for anyone interested in becoming a retained Firefighter. The open day will give you a chance to find out more about what the role involves, and allow you to see practical demonstrations of the recruitment tests.

The Open Day for potential recruits is being held on Saturday 20th September 2008 at 10am-2pm with the contact point being Helmsley market place, people will then be taken to the fire station for more information.
