Schools & colleges

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service works with schools throughout the county to educate children of all ages. The aim is to enable young people to develop and grow in a safer environment.

The Service also provides a number of specialist courses designed to meet specific needs.

For more information on our programme of school activities, contact the Community Safety Department at Fire & Rescue Headquarters on 01609 780150 or email.

You can also download our booklet here which contains more information.

School safety visits

These programmes involve educational talks targeted at all key stage groups (1,2,3 & 4) delivered by fire service staff. The programme also covers fire safety and drills at schools.
