Incident Summary Day Shift Wednesday 20th October 2021

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

12:38 Chain Bar Lane, Killinghall Crews were called to  a road traffic collision between a HGV and a car. Crews removed the door of the vehicle and the occupant was able to then self extricate from the vehicle. Patient was transferred to hospital via road ambulance with believed minor injuries.

14:21 Gracious Street, Knaresborough Crews were called to an incident wherein a HGV had impacted a building. On arrival crews found this to be an incident that had occurred at an earlier time and the vehicle was no longer there. Crews gave advice to occupants of house to contact a structural engineer. No action was taken by Fire Service.

14:37 Castle Road, Scarborough Crews were called to assist with a male who was believed to have collapsed behind a locked door. Crews gained entry using small tools. Male received oxygen therapy. Male was left in the care of paramedics.

 

We also attended automatic fire alarm activations in York x 3 and Scarborough . These were all false alarms.
