Incident Summary – Thursday 21st October – night shift

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 Time: 17:57

Location: Coppice Park, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate we requested to attend the park after a report that a bin was on fire in the park. The crew used a bucket of water to extinguish the fire, which is thought to have been started deliberately.

Time: 18:35

Location: A1237, Clifton Moor

Fire crews from Huntington and Acomb attended a 2 vehicle road traffic collision involving a lorry and a car. All occupants were out of the vehicles upon our arrival and a female was left with paramedics.

Location: Outside Plumpton park, Harrogate

Harrogate and Knaresborough crew attended a 3 vehicle road traffic collision. All persons involved were out of the vehicles upon our arrival and crews dealt with brake fluid leaking from a vehicle and made the scene safe. 1 male in his 60’s refused hospital treatment and was left in care of police. The crew used an environmental spills pack.

Location: A64, westbound near Musley Bank

Fire control received a call to a report of a car on fire. upon arrival of our Malton crews it was found this was an overheated turbo which had caused fire damage to the headlight area only. Crews extinguished the fire and removed the turbo from an Audi A4.


They were also fire alarm activations attended in: Tadcaster, Acomb, Harrogate, Selby, Scarborough and Felixstowe.  All were found to be false alarms.
