06:22 Thirsk Road, Northallerton– Crews from Northallerton responded to reports of a fire in a residential property. The fire was located in the loung of the property with the cause believed to have been radiated heat from the fire place spreading to the wooden floor boards. The fire had then spread down in to the basement. Crews extinguished using 2 hose reel jets, 4 breathing apparatus, small tools and thermal imaging camera.

14:41 Coppice Woods, Harrogate- crew from Harrogate repsponded to reports of a small fire in some woodland. On arrival this was a small fire that was already extinguished but smouldering away. Crews used a knapsack sprayer to dampen down the area.

15:00 Windsor Garth, York- Crew from Acomb attended reports of a small fire left unattended. Crews extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

15:59 Church Lane, Thornton Le Dale- Crew from Pickering responded to a chimney fire at a property. The fire was out on arrival having been extinguished by the homeowner using a garden hosepipe down the chimney. Advice given by crews to have the chimney inspected prior to using again.

During the day crews from Northallerton, Tadcaster, Scarborough, Richmond, York, Acomb and Malton all attended automatic fire alarms that were all false alarms.
