Incident Summary – Wednesday 1st December 2021, Night Shift

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

20:14  Wigginton Road, York – False alarm

20:23  Crichton Avenue, York – A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a multiple vehicle RTC. Crews provided first aid assistance to one male casualty awaiting the arrival of ambulance crews. The male casualty was left in the care of paramedics.

22:27  Bondgate, Selby – A crew from Selby responded to a report of a small fire that had been left unattended. Crews extinguished the fire using a bucket of water.

02:22 – West Cliff, Whitby – False alarm due to faulty detector head

02:29  Barton – Crews from Richmond and Colburn responded to a report of smoke coming from a boiler, this was a false alarm due to a boiler malfunction, crews isolated the electricity supply and gave advice to the occupier.

03:12  Grey Street, Harrogate – A crew from Harrogate responded to a request to lift an elderly male who had fallen within a property. Incident left with ambulance service.

04:23 Friars Way, Scarborough – A crew from Scarborough gained entry to a property to enable ambulance crews to access a patient, small tools used.

04:27 Audax Way, York – False alarm due to fault on system

05:21  Clarence Street, York – Crews from York, Acomb and an aerial ladder platform from Huntington attended a report of an alarm sounding and smoke in a three storey property, on arrival crews found there had been a fire on the cooker top which was out on arrival.

05:42  Lendal Bridge, York – Crews from York, Acomb and Huntington along with water rescue teams from Malton, Ripon and Selby were sent to reports of a female in the river, on arrival the crews retrieved the female from the water using a throw line.
