Incident Summary – Night Shift 25th November 2022

17:49 Menwith Hill Road, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a vehicle on fire. Crews extinguished the fire and dampened the vehicle down before isolating the battery and making the vehicle safe. Crews cordoned off the area and left the incident with the police to await recovery.

19:02 A59, Skipton Road
A crew from Harrogate came across a 3 vehicle RTC where no persons were trapped. Crews liaised with police on scene and administered initial first aid to occupants whilst awaiting the arrival of ambulance crews. Crews stabilised one vehicle to enable the occupant to be assisted out. Occupants of two vehicles transported to hospital via road ambulance. Crews left the incident in the hands of the police to await recovery of the vehicles.

20:48 St Johns Walk, Harrogate 
A crew from Harrogate responded to a request from ambulance crews to assist in gaining entry to a residential property where the occupant had reportedly collapsed. The male occupant was able to open the door of the property and crews liaised with paramedics on scene to get the occupant out of the property and into the ambulance.

21:54 Brentwood, Leyburn 
A crew from Leyburn responded to a report of an alarm activation at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm due to faulty equipment.

22:29 Rosset Beck, Harrogate 
A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an elderly gentleman who had fallen in the bathroom of his property and was unable to get up. Crews assisted the gentleman back into his wheelchair and carried out a precautionary check on him.

23:07 High Street, Carlton 
A crew from Selby responded to a report of an alarm activation at a commercial premises. When crews arrived, they discovered the alarm had been activated by a small fire that had been extinguished prior to their arrival. Crews carried out an inspection only using a thermal imaging camera.

00:38 Valley Bridge Road, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of water leaking through light fittings on the ceiling of a residential property from the flat above. Crews gained access to the flat and isolated a faulty immersion tank that was overflowing. Advice was given to the occupant of the flat below.

06:17 St Nicholas Cliff, Scarborough

Crew were mobilised to a report of a transit van on fire. Crews used 1 hose reel and 1 breathing apparatus to extinguish.
