Killinghall
Time of call: 0814
Both appliances from Harrogate attended a 2 vehicle RTC involving a Peugeot 208 and a Toyota Hilux. A 19 year old female driver of the Peugeot self extricated on the advice of paramedics. Fire crews then assisted in transporting the casualty to an air ambulance where she was taken to hospital for further treatment. Crews then carried out scene safety. Stabilisation equipment and radios were used.
Acomb Fire Station, York
Time of call: 0929
Acomb assisted a 17 year old female with a ring stuck on her finger. Crews removed ring using ring cutter and gave advice.
Boroughbridge Road, York
Time of call: 0952
Acomb were mobilsied to reports of smoke sighted in the area. This was found to be controlled burning under supervision, crews gave advice only.
Skipton-On-Swale
Time of call: 1041
Ripon assisted NYCC carers with lifted a female who had fallen in a domestic property. Crews carried out a precationary check over and left her in the hands of the carer.
Tadcaster Road, York
Time of call: 1222
Acomb attended a hotel where a male was stuck in a lift. Crews released the male using small tools and gave advice to staff.
Haxby, York
Time of call: 1310
Huntington were mobilsied to reports of smoke sighted in a garden. This was found to be controlled burning under supervision, crews gave advice to the homeowner.
Barrowcliff Road, Scarborough
Time of call: 1430
2 x Scarborough appliances and Filey attended a fire involving a 2 storey semi-detached domestic property. The fire caused significant fire and smoke damage. A 30 year old male was out of the property on arrival of crews and taken to hospital suffering smoke inhalation. 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, 45mm main jet, 2 x thermal imaging camera and small tools used. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Darlington Road, Northallerton
Time of call: 1515
2 x Northallerton appliances were mobilised to a 2 vehicle RTC. On arrvial crews confirmed an 85 year old female driver was walked from the vehicle by paramedics. No action required by Fire Service and incident left with Police.
Catterick Garrison
Time of call: 1542
Richmond were mobilsied to reports of smoke sighted in the area. This was found to be controlled burning under supervision, crews gave advice to the landowner.
Whitby
Time of call: 1558
Whitby attended a dog that was stuck on rock armour approx 2m below path edge. Crews used ropes/lines and crewpower to rescue the dog and left the incident in the hands of the Coastguard.
A64 Tadcaster
Time of call: 1612
tadcaster responded to reports of smoke sighted close the the carriageway This was found to be controlled burning under supervision, crews gave advice to those in attendance.
Tadcaster Road, York
Time of call: 1722
Acomb attended a hotel where a 3 adult males were stuck in a lift. Crews released the male by gaining access to the motor room and gave advice for an engineer to attend.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service also attended automatic fire alarms in Catterick, Scarborough, Whitby York and Harrogate. All of these activations were false alarms.
