Incident Summary – Day shift 23rd March 2023

08:16 Huntington Road, York
A crew from Huntington responded to a report of an alarm activation at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm, the cause of which was unknown.
09:08 Skipton Road, Harrogate
Crews from Harrogate responded to a report of an RTC. On arrival, crews found this to be a 2 vehicle RTC with no persons trapped. Occupants of both vehicles were out and handed into the care of paramedics for precautionary checks. No action was required by the fire service and the incident was left in the hands of the police.
11:11 Woodfield Road, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property. On their arrival, crews found that the alarm was sounding due to a pan that had been left on the stove unattended. Crews removed the pan from the stove and ventilated the property.
11:16 Bartindale Road, Hunmanby
Crews from Filey and Scarborough responded to a report of a 2 vehicle RTC in which one of the vehicles had ended on its roof. On the arrival of fire crews, all occupants were out of the vehicles and in the care of ambulance crews. Crews made the vehicles and scene safe.
11:29 East Parade, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a request from Ambulance crews to assist with gaining entry to a residential property where they had concerns for the occupant. Crews gained access using a triple extension ladder and left the occupant in the care of ambulance crews.
12:32 York Road, Malton
A crew from Malton responded to a report of an alarm activation at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
14:40 West Lane, Danby
A crew from Danby responded to a report of a fire seen in the open. Crews found this to be controlled burning under supervision. Advice was given to a responsible person due to smoke blowing across the highway.
15:14 St Marks Grove, York
A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a fire in a bin. The fire was out on the arrival of crews and was believed to have been caused by a dropped light.
15:57 Queens Road, Richmond
A crew from Richmond responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to burnt food.
16:19 A1237 Clifton Moor
A crew from Huntington responded to a report of a 4 vehicle RTC with no persons trapped. On arrival, crews confirmed that all occupants were out of their vehicles. Crews carried out an inspection of one vehicle before escorting it to a nearby garage.
