Incident Summary Day Shift Friday 24th March 2023

08:10 – Stockwell Lane, Knaresborough

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to a break glass call point being activated.

09:21 – West Knapton, Malton

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a trailer. This was approx 20 tonnes of waste dust involved in fire. Extinguished using 2 hose reels, 2 breathing apparatus, delta lance and small tools. Cause is believed to be due to overheating.

13:51 – Church Road, Thornton in Craven

Crew were mobilised to a report of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision. Crews made vehicle safe.

14:42 – Plews Way, Leeming Bar

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm, cause unknown.

14:59 – Harrogate Fire Station

Crews removed a ring from a finger of a person using a ring cutter.

15:14 – Linden Grove, Northallerton

Crew were requested to assist Ambulance to gain entry to a premises. Lock snapper used.

15:40 – Woodfield Road, Harrogate

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector head.

15:49 – A1237, Poppleton

Crew were mobilised to a report of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision. On arrival no persons were trapped in vehicle. Crews made vehicle safe and left in hands of Police.

15:58 – Middlecave Road, Malton 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to an accidental activation of break glass callpoint.

16:17 – Green Lane, Harrogate

Crew were mobilised to a report of a small fire in the woods. Crews extingusihed using knapsack sprayers.
