Incident Bulletin – Saturday 9th September – Day Shift

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

09:05 Silpho, Scarborough

Crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a small fire in the woods. Crews used two knapsack sprayers to extinguish the fire. The cause was deliberate.

11:12 – Fishergate, York

Crews from York resecured two boats back onto the moorings after being deliberately released by a member of the public. Crews used reach poles and throw lines to retrieve the vessels.

11:15 – Clifton, York

Crews from Acomb responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm.

12:42 – Burniston, Scarborough

Scarborough crews assisted paramedics on scene to move a patient from the property. Crewpower was used.

13:18 – Catterick Garrison

Crews from Colburn and Ripon assisted a young child who had trapped her finger in a baby gate. The young child was released from the baby gate using small tools and left in the care of paramedics and her parents.

13:47 – Westborough, Scarborough

Scarborough crews released persons trapped in a lift carriage using lift keys. Advice was given.

14:25 – A1 S J50 Baldersby to J47 Knaresborough

Crews from Thirsk and Boroughbridge responded to reports of a lorry smoking in a layby. A thorough search was carried out and no lorry was located.

15:13 – Sutton Bank, Thirsk

Helmsley crews responded to reports of a fire sighted from the A19 towards Sutton Bank. Crews extinguished smouldering moor land measuring 10m x 15m using knapsack sprayers.

16:12 – Scalby Mills Road, Scarborough

Scarborough crews assisted a young child which had become accidentally locked in a car. Crews released the child using small tools.

16:40 – Quarry Mount, Scarborough

Scarborough Crews responded to smoke sighted in the area. Crews investigated and no fire was located.
