17:02 Outgang Lane, Osbaldwick
Crews from York and Huntington responded to a report of a fire seen in the open. Crews located the fire measuring approximately 20sqm consisting of rubbish. Crews extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet and gave advice to responsible persons.
17:28 Cold Bath Road, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential premises. This was a false alarm due to burnt toast.
17:29 Avenue Road, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of smoke seen coming from a skylight in a residential property. Crews gained access to the property and found a pan of food that had been left unattended. Crews removed the pan from the cooker and ventilated the property. Advice was given to the occupant of the flat.
18:26 Crag Lane, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a fire seen in the open near an area of woodland. Crews found this to be a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.
19:35 South Lane, Haxby
A crew from Huntington responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property with no response from the occupant. This was a false alarm due to burnt toast. Crews gave advice to the occupant and carried out a safe and well.
19:49 Brompton Road, Northallerton
A crew from Northallerton responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown cause, advice was given.
20:22 Barrowcliff Road, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire in a garden. On their arrival, crews found that the fire to a petrol can was out. Crews carried out an inspection only and gave advice to the homeowners.
20:33 Castlegate, Knaresborough
A crew from Knaresborough responded to a report of a fire in a bin. Crews located the fire that had been lit deliberately by youths and extinguished it using knapsack sprayers and buckets of water.
20:34 Woodlands Drive, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential property. Crews found the alarm activation was due to smoke from a fire to food that had been left unattended under a grill. Damage was confined to the food that had been removed prior to the fire service arrival. Crews carried out an inspection and ventilated the property.
