Incident Summary – Day shift, 15th September 2023

08:33 Westfield Road, Tockwith 
A crew from Acomb responded to a report of smoke seen in the open. This was found to be controlled burning, advice was given to a responsible person.

08:42 Burnholme Drive, York 
A crew from York responded to a request from ambulance crews to assist with moving a casualty from a property. Crews assisted paramedics in lifting the casualty from the property to the awaiting ambulance and left them in the care of the ambulance crew.

09:36 York Road, Acomb 
A crew from Acomb responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm, no alarm was sounding at the property. Crews carried out a safe and well check with the occupant.

10:35 Holgate Road, York 
A crew from Acomb responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to workmen.

11:00 Chatsworth Grove, Harrogate 
A crew from Harrogate responded to a request from ambulance crews to assist with moving a casualty in a residential property. Crews assisted ambulance crews to lift the casualty from upstairs in the property to the awaiting ambulance using crew power and a carry chair.

11:35 Broughton Road, Skipton 
A crew from Skipton responded to a report of a fire in a workshop. On arrival. crews found a Range Rover within the workshop on fire. Crews extinguished the fire that resulted in damage to the engine bay and smoke damage to the rest of the car. All damage was confined to the vehicle, the workshop suffered no damage.

12:02 Castle Road, Scarborough 
A crew from Scarborough responded to a request for assistance from ambulance crews. Crews assisted paramedics in lifting the casualty from a property into the ambulance using crew power only.

12:14 Old Church Lane, Pateley Bridge 
A first responder crew from Lofthouse responded to a report of an elderly male who had fallen outside his property. Crews carried out an initial assessment of the gentleman and provided reassurance until the arrival of an ambulance crew. The male was left in the care of paramedics.

14:19 James Street, York 
Crews from York and Acomb and an ALP from Huntington responded to a report of a fire in a residential property. Crews located a fire in the bedroom of a flat on the first floor of the building. Crews extinguished the fire and confirmed that there were no persons in the fire. The fire resulted in significant fire and smoke damage to the bedroom and smoke damage to the rest of the premises.

15:39 Queens Road, Harrogate 
A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a male who was stuck in a lift. Crews released the male from the lift using lift keys.

15:44 Arran Place, York 
A crew from Tadcaster responded to a report of a female on the wrong side of bridge railings. Crews liaised with police and stood by whilst they interacted with the female and brought her to the right side of the railings. No action was required by the fire service.

16:38 Queen Margarets Road, Scarborough 
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a vehicle on fire. Crews located a small fire in the rear of the vehicle. *Incident ongoing*

16:55 Valley Road, Scarborough 
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.
