Incident summary – Saturday 16th September Night shift
17:09 Barden Road, Skipton
Skipton crews responded to reports of a fire sighted in a field. On arrival and after inspection crew confirmed this was in fact controlled burning under good supervision.
17:59 Wetherby.
Tadcaster crews assisted West Yorkshire by attending a fire in their area. On arrival the crew from wetherby had the fire under control and North Yorkshire assistance was no longer required.
21:39 Pickering.
Crews from Pickering assisted Ambulance with a casualty. Incident then left with Ambulance.
21:49 Church Square, Whitby.
Whitby crew assisted Paramedics to gain access to property to treat male occupant. Crews used a door enforcer and incident was then left with Ambulance and Police.
22:43 Springhill, Tadcaster
Tadcaster crew investigated concerns of gas leaking in property. After investigation using gas detector no gas leak was identified. Advice given to occupier.
04:02 – Beech Wood Grove, Colburn
Crews from Colburn and Richmond responded to reports of a house filled with smoke after neighbours heard an alarm sounding. Crews discovered a small fire out on arrival confined within the oven. The cause was accidental and advice was given.
04:16 – Hewley Avenue, York
York crew assisted carers gaining entry into a property using small tools.
In addition Automatic fire activations were attended in Scarborough and Selby. These resulted in false alarms.
