To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Snainton 0700 – 1000

Throughout the morning crews from Sherburn responded to numerous incidents of flooding inside and outside of residential properties. Crews assisted occupants to safety, isolated services and gave advice.

Scarborough 0700 – 1000

During the morning Scarborough and Filey crews attended numerous incidents of flooding inside and outside of residential properties in the Scarborough area. Crews assisted occupants to safety and removed water used light portable pumps.

Alcuin Avenue, York – 0951

Crews from York assisted carers gain entry to a residential property to assist an occupant who had fallen. Crews gained entry using small tools, assisted the occupant and left in the hands of carers.

Queens Road, Harrogate – 1453

Crews from Harrogate attended a lift rescue inside a public property. Crews released 2 occupant unharmed using lift keys and hydraulic power.

Norby, 15:18

Crews from Thirsk and Northallerton responded to calls of a washing machine smoking inside a residential property. This was a false alarm with no sign of fire found.

York crews responded to an automatic fire alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to dust.
