Incident Summary – Thursday 21st September – Night Shift
To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.
17:38 – Brayton Lane, Selby
Selby crews responded to reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews assisted with scene safety and first aid. The incident was left in the hands of the police for vehicle recovery and awaiting arrival of ambulance for believed minor injuries.
18:01 – Cliffe, Selby
Selby retained crews responded to reports of a small fire in the open. This resulted in a small campfire out on our arrival. An inspection was carried out and advice given to youths.
18:07 – Scagglethorpe, Malton
Malton crew responded to reports of a fire in the open. Crews inspected a bonfire under supervision and assisted in moving it away from a hedgerow to prevent further spread. Crews used Knapsack sprayers and beaters. The land owner moved the fire which was under control away from the hedge with a JCB bucket.
18:15 – Thorp Arch, Wetherby
Tadcaster crews responded to assist Wetherby appliance from West Yorkshire with a fire. Upon our attendance the fire was extinguished and we were no longer required.
19:14 – Low Ousegate, York
York crews responded to reports of flooding in the basement of a shop. Crews isolated the water supply and advice was given to a responsible person.
22:44 – Eleanor Drive, Harrogate
Harrogate crews responded to reports of water leaking inside from the flat above. Crews inspected the property and advice was given.
Lythe, Huntington and Acomb crews responded to automatic fire panels sounding overnight. These resulted in false alarms.
