18:15 Beckwithshaw

Crew from Harrogate and Knaresborough responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision. The vehicle had left the road and come to rest on its side at the bottom of an embankment. The driver was uninjured but could not exit the vehicle due to it being on its side. Crew used small tools to remove the windscreeen to allow the occupant to climb out.

18:59 Catterick Garrison

Crew from Colburn responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision. On arrival all occupants were out of the vehicle. Crew used small tools to disconnect the battery and left the incident in the hands of police.

19:55 Selby

Crew from Selby gained entry to a property for an emergency gas engineer due to a positive reading for gas at the premises. Crew used a door enforcer to gain entry and left the incident in the hands of the gas board.

20:56 Whitby

Crews from Whitby and Lythe responded to reports of a carbon monoxide alarm sounding and a smell of gas in a residential flat. Following an investigation this was found to be a false alarm.

00:09 Harome

Crews from Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside responded to reports of a chimney fire. On arrival the fire was confined within the flue of the chimney. Crew used a triple extension ladder, chimney kit, small tools and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

03:11 Harrogate

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough responded to reports of a strong smell of smoke inside a hotel. Crew carried out a thorough investigation and located the source of the smell to be coming from the boiler room. The fire was believed to have been caused by a small amount of burnt cardboard. No action required by fire crews.

 

 

During the night crews from Ripon, York, Richmond and Easingwold responded to automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
