Incident Summary – Tuesday Dayshift, 9th July 2024

Time: 07:13       Location: Knaresborough Road, Harrogate

Both crews from Harrogate responded to the smell of burning inside a domestic property. Crews carried out an investigation and found this to be a false alarm. The alarm was activated by cooking fumes.

Time:  10:49      Location: Near Barley Road, Selby 

A crew from Selby responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential building. This was caused by a fault on the smoke detectors. Crews gave advice.

Time:  13:43      Location: Near Swan Road, Harrogate

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough responded to an activated smoke alarm inside a residential property. Crews found no sign of fire after carrying out an investigation and confirmed this was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes. Crews gave advice to occupant.

Time:   13:47     Location: Near Northallerton

A crew from Northallerton lifted a bedbound, elderly occupant to a safe location inside their property after the internal lift had broken. Crews used crew power only.

Time:  16:16      Location: B1228, York

A crew from York responded to reports of a driver who had driven into a ditch. Crews found the driver out on arrival and uninjured. Crews provided scene safety and passed on all relevant information to the police.
