Incident Summary Day Shift 13th September

09:01, Tadcaster

A crew from Tadcaster responded to reports of a casualty with their arm trapped in a bed. Crews released the casualty using small tools, before they were taken to hospital via road ambulance.

10:32, Whitby

A crew from Whitby responded to reports of a person who had jumped onto a ledge from a pier, to retrieve a fishing rod, then got stuck on the ledge. Crews used a triple extension ladder to assist the person back to the pier.

11:38, York

A crew from York responded to a request from ambulance service to assist with the extracation of a casualty from a property.

11:45, Skipton

A crew from Skipton responded to reports of a person who had fallen in a downstairs toilet, and was unable to get back up. Crews gained entry to the toilet and assisted the person back to their feet

11:51, Selby

Crews from Selby and Snaith responded to reports of smoke issuing from a tractor. Crews  used a knapsack sprayer and small tools to extinguish a small fire, which began in the exhaust system of a new tractor. The fire caused 10% damage to the wiring harness, and was believed to be caused by a build up of straw.

 11:53, Richmond

A crew from Richmond assisted the ambulance service with a person who had fallen in the rear garden of their home. Crews assisted paramedics with moving the patient to the awaiting road ambulance, to be taken to hospital.

11:53, Tadcaster

A crew from Tadcaster assisted the ambulance service with a casualty who had fallen within the bathroom of their home. Crews used small tools to remove the toilet, to allow access to the casualty. The casualty was then taken to hospital via road ambulance.

12:34, Selby

A crew from Tadcaster assisted the ambulance service to gain entry to a property on behalf of paramedics.

13:58, Stokesley

Crews from Northallerton and Middlesbrough responded to reports of a smell of burning in a commercial building. This was a false alarm with good intent, caused by an overheated solar panel.

16:34, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a confused member of the public, who had found themselves to be locked out of their property. This incident is currently ongoing.

Crews from Richmond and Scarborough responded to reports of fire alarms sounding. These were investigated and proved to be false alarms.
