Crews from York and Acomb responded to a report of smoke seen coming from a boat. Crews confirmed this to be a false alarm, the smoke was coming from a log burner on the boat. Crews gave advice to a responsible person.

A crew from York responded to a report of a HGV that had become stuck under a tree branch and was blocking the road. On the arrival of crews, no fire service action was required as local farmers were assisting to cut the tree and release the HGV. Crews stood by until the arrival of police.

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to system testing. Advice was given to a responsible person.

Crews extinguished a fire in the unit using dry powder extinguishers and cordoned off the area until Northern Power engineers attended the site and isolated the unit. Crews carried out welfare checks on neighbouring residents and local businesses due to power outages. The incident was left in the hands of Northern Power engineers.

A crew from Ripon responded to assist gaining entry to a residential property where the elderly occupant had fallen and was unable to let relatives in. Crews gained entry to the property using small tools and left the occupant in the care of their relatives and ambulance crews.

Crews carried out a thorough investigation and found an electrical junction box that had smouldered causing a smoky haze in the loft space of the property. Crews isolated the electrics to the top floor of the property and gave advice to the occupant.
