Incident Summary – Monday Nightshift, 30th September 2024
To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.
Time: 17:14 Location: Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to the strong smell of burning outside the front door of their property. Crews arrived and found no sign of fire. A full thermal inspection was carried out and it was discovered that the smell of burning came from a neighboring properties log burner. Crews gave advice.
Time: 18:41 Location: Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough assisted ambulance crews with the lifting of a female occupant who had fallen inside their property. Crew power was used to move the casualty to the awaiting ambulance outside. The casualty was left in the care of paramedics to receive treatment.
Time: 23:01 Location: Ripon
A crew from Ripon inspected an area where a fire in the open had been reported by a member of the public. Crews completed a full search of the area. Unfortunately, no fire could be located after an extensive search.
Time: 04:18 Location: Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate gained entry to a property for awaiting ambulance crews outside. Crews used their battery spreaders to gain access to key safe. The occupant was found on the floor of the property uninjured and was left in the care of paramedics.
Time: 05:59 Location: York
A crew from York gained entry to a property for awaiting ambulance crews outside who were unable to gain access to a property to help the patient inside. Crews achieved this using a door enforcer.
Crews from Malton, Scarborough, Selby and York also responded to activated fire alarms inside commercial and residential buildings. These were all confirmed false alarms.
