Time: 18:52   Location: Low Bradley

Crew from Skipton responded to reports of a large sighted close to some trees. This was a false alarm caused by controlled burning.

Time: 19:03  Location: Camblesforth

Crew from Selby responded to reports of a fire in the dining room of a property. Crew used 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish. The cause of this fire is believed to have been a lamp that had magnified sunlight on to a wooden table causing it to smolder.

Time: 23:27   Location: York

York crew attended a property after a heat sensor activated due to water getting into the electrics following a water leak. Crew removed sensor and ensured there was adequate fire protection remaining in property and gave the occupants advice.

Harrogate crew attended to 2 commercial wheelie bins on fire at the rear of a premises. They extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel and a thermal imaging camera.

Time: 03:47  Location: Scarborough

Crew from Scarborough assisted a carer to gain entry to a property as the occupant had fallen. Crews gained entry using a key and left the occupant with care giver.

Crew from Kirkbymoorside assisted paramedics with a difficult extrication of a casualty from a property. Crew power used to lift occupant to waiting ambulance.

Time: 04:38  Location: Scarborough

Crew from Scarborough assisted family members to gain entry to a property due to concerns for the occupier. Gain entry kit used to enter the premises. Occupnat left in care of family members.

 

During the night crews from Masham, Ripon, Malton, Harrogate, Scarborough, York and Northallerton all attended automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
