A crew from Thirsk attended a property to assist ambulance with the difficult extrication of a casualty. Crews lifted the casualty under the supervision of paramedics onto their scoop stretcher. They were then transported to hospital for checks.

Grassington crew responded to a call regarding a sheep that has become stuck on a river bank. The crew liaised with a farmer who assisted in searching the area, however, after counting the flock it appeared that the sheep had self rescued.

A crew from Selby and Huntington responded to a fire in the ground that occurred after a construction worker ruptured a gas and electric cable. Construction workers had used builders rubble to smother the fire prior to fire service arrival. Crews awaited the arrival of gas and electrical engineers before extinguishing the fire under their supervision. The incident was handed over to the electricity board.

A crew from York attended a chimney fire in one of the outlying villages. Crews removed embers and hot debris from a wall cavity and dampened them down. They then inspected the chimney using a thermal image camera and gave advice to the occupant of the property.
