Incident Bulletin – Wednesday 16th October – Night Shift
To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.
18:20 – Filey
Crews from Filey responded to reports of a fire at a residential premises. The fire was out upon our arrival and the incident was left with Police on scene.
19:07 – Scarborough
Scarborough crews responded to reports of debris coming off a roof. The crews inspected the property and advice was given to occupants.
19:32 – Egton
Crews from Whitby responded to a vehicle leaking fuel. The leak was sealed using paste and advice was given to the owner of the vehicle who was arranging recovery.
20:16 – Flaxton
Crews from Easingwold responded to concerns of noise coming from electrical pylons. This resulted in a false alarm.
21:52 – Catterick
Crews from Bedale and Colburn responded to a report of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision involving a HGV and a car. On arrival crews confirmed that the incident involved a single car and all occupants were out of the vehicle in the care of ambulance crews. Crews made the scene safe and left the incident with the police.
00:29 – Filey
Crews from Filey and Scarborough responded to a report of a fire in a residential property. Crews located a fire to a mattress and duvet within a bedroom in the property that was out on their arrival. Crews dampened down and monitored the room until it was at an ambient temperature. Crews isolated the electrics to the property and left it in the hands of responsible persons to monitor overnight. 2 casualties were left in the care of ambulance crews for precautionary checks suffering smoke inhalation.
02:54 – Salisbury Road, York
Crews from Acomb responded to reports of two separate bin fires in quick succession down an alleyway. The fires were extinguished using one hose reel jet and the cause was deliberate.
04:27 – Ripley
Crews from Harrogate assisted paramedics to gain entry into a property to reach the occupant within.
Crews from Knaresborough, Thirsk, York, Acomb, Ripon, Filey, Scarborough, Bedale, Harrogate and Malton responded to automatic fire alarms sounding. These resulted in false alarms.
