Incident Summary – Day Shift, Thirsday 17th October

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

Time: 09.24   Location: Malton

Crews from Malton and York attended a road traffic collision between two cars. On arrival of the crews, occupants were already out of their vehicles and the incident was left in the hands of our colleagues in the Ambulance and Police services.

Time:  11.07  Location: Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough and Malton attended a road traffic collision between a car and a Heavy Goods vehicle.  One of the occupants of the car was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance and the other by road Ambulance.

Time: 15.55   Location: Harrogate 

Harrogate and Knaresborough crews responded to a fire in a kitchen. The fire was out on arrival of the crews and found to have been caused by plastic which was put on a hob.  The crews ventilated the building and gave fire safety advice.

Time: 16.24   Location: Skipton

The Skipton appliance, joined by our West Yorkshire colleagues attended reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision.  On arrival of the crews the occupant was out of the vehicle and in the care of paramedics.  Crews made the scene safe.

Crews from Acomb, Harrogate and Knaresborough also responded to automatic fire alarm activations. These were found to be false alarms.
