17:00, York

A crew from York responded to reports of a fire in the open. This was a controlled burn under supervision.

17:51, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire to a sofa, on top of a picnic bench. The fire was out on arrival of crews. The cause was deliberate.

17:57, Malton

A crew from Malton responded to reports of a fire in the open. This was a controlled burn under supervision.

18:39, Richmond

Crews from Colburn and Richmond responded to reports of a fire outside the door of a residential property. This was a false alarm with good intent.

20:18, Acomb

A crew from Acomb responded to reports of a small fire to a bin, near to a bus stop. Crews used a bucket of water to cool the area, where the fire was out on arrival. The cause was deliberate.

20:25, West Yorkshire

A crew from Tadcaster assisted colleagues from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service with an incident in their area.

21:15, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request from the police to gain entry to a property on behalf of the ambulance service. Crews climbed over a wall, to undo the latch on the rear gate of the property, to allow ambulance crews to enter through the rear door of the property. The patient was left in the care of paramedics.

22:57, York

A crew from York responded to reports of smoke issuing from a drain in the street. This was smoke issuing from an electrical installation, under the pavement. Crews cordoned off and made the scene safe, before handing the incident over to Northern Power Grid, who isolated the power.

01:24, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire in the open. Crews investigated but found no fire.

04:28 Whitby

Whitby crew assisted ambulance staff with a male casualty who was suffering seizures within a locked compound. Crew gained access and provided first aid to casualty whilst awaiting ambulance. Crew used small tools and oxygen therapy.

06:34 Osgodby, Scarborough

One of our Scarborough appliances attended reports of a fox with its leg caught in some wire in a fence. At time of publishing crews are still in attendance at this incident with no further information passed.

 

Crews from Filey, Scarborough, Acomb, Selby and York all responded to fire alarm activations. These were all false alarms.
