Incident Summary Night Shift Wednesday 6th November

Time: 1900  Location: Skipton

Crew from Skipton responded to reports of a fire in some woodland. Crew used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish a small fire measuring 2 x 2 metres.

Time: 1920   Location: York

Crew from Acomb responded to a fire in an alleyway. This was a supervised burn but was extinguished by crews using 1 bucket of water and a knapsack sprayer.

Time: 1947    Location: York

Crew from Acomb responded to multiple calls about a park bench being set on fire by youths. Crew located the bench and extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

Time: 0502     Location: A1N J48 to 49

Crews from Knaresborough, Thirsk, Harrogate and Boroughbridge responded to a HGV well alight. The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus. The cause was accidental and no one was injured.

During the night crews from Harrogate, York, Scarborough and Skipton also responded to automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
