Crew from Scarborough were mobilised to a person who had become trapped in their kitchen when the door handle failed. Crew used small tools to release the occupant.

13:19, York

Crew from York responded to reports of a water leak from the loft of a property causing severe flooding inside a premises. Crew isolated the water mains using small tools.

13:55, Burton Lane, Humberton

Crew from Ripon responded to reports of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision between a car and a van. On arrival all occupants were out of their vehicles. Crew assisted with first aid to a casualty who had suffered a leg injury.

14:15, Grimston

Crew from Tadcaster responded to reports of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision where one of the vehicles was smoking. The smoke was found to have been powder from deployed airbags. Crews made the vehicles safe.

 

During the day crews from Skipton, York and Harrogate were mobilised to automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
