Time: 07:26 Location: Whitby
A crew from Whitby responded to a request from Ambulance crews to assist in gaining entry to a residential property. Access was gained to the property by the occupant opening the door. The incident was left in the hands of Ambulance crews.
Time: 08:25 Location: A1 N J51 Leeming to Catterick
Crews from Northallerton and Richmond responded to a report of a vehicle on fire. Crews located a car well alight that they extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet. Crews dampened down and checked for hotspots before handing the incident over to the Police and Highways Agency.

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an elderly female who had fallen in her property and was unable to get up. Crews assisted the female back into her chair and left her in the care of family members.

An officer attended a report of a late fire call in a residential property where a laptop caught fire in the early hours of the morning. The laptop was removed from the property and residual fire extinguished by the occupants. Advice was given to the occupants.
Time: 11:23 Location: Thirsk
A crew from Thirsk responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential premises. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system. Advice was given to a responsible person.
Time: 11:55 Location: Richmond
Crews from Richmond and Leyburn responded to a report of a fire in the kitchen of a commercial premises. Prior to the arrival of crews, staff had used a fire extinguisher and evacuated the property. Crews extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and positive pressure ventilation fans to clear smoke from the property. The fire was caused by oil spilt on the hob and resulted in 10% heat damage to the oven hob and 30% smoke damage to the rest of the building. Advice was given to a responsible person.

Crews from York and Acomb responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential premises where there was no response from the occupant. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

A crew from York responded to a report of smoke seen. This was a false alarm due to roofers melting tar.
Time: 13:15 Location: Scarborough
Crews from Scarborough responded to a report of a smell of smoke and fire alarms activating in a residential property. Crews carried out a thorough investigation and found no sign of fire. The cause of the alarm was believed to be a fault on the system.
Time: 15:14 Location: Scabrorough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of smoke in the kitchen of a residential property. Crews found the smoke to be coming from the boiler in the property. Crews carried out a thorough investigation and found that the flue had overheated and set fire to a wooden panel it was fixed to. Crews extinguished the fire and dampened down before removing the affected wood. Crews isolated the utilities to the boiler and gave advice to the occupant.
