Incident Summary – Night shift Thursday 28th November

17:12 York
York crews attended a 2 vehicle road traffic collision. No people were trapped. Crews administered first aid to the casualty and assisted Police with making the area safe.
17:27 Haxby
Acomb crews assisted with rescuing one person stuck in a lift. Crews used lift keys to release lift and allow occupant to leave the lift.
18:13 Copmanthorpe
Crews from York and Acomb proceeded to investigate reports of a car fire sighted on the A64. After an extensive search of the area, no vehicle was located. Police also searched the area and found nothing.
18:33, Malton
A crew from Malton came across an incident, where a bus had clipped the side of a building. Crews cordoned off the area.
18:39 Stillingfleet
Selby, Tadcaster and Garforth from West Yorkshire Fire attended a fire involving a large grain storage building. The grain store was made up of 3 adjoining stores, measuring a total of approximately 40m by 20m. The fire was contained to the middle store, but spread to the roof, and affected grain supplies and 10 x 600kg bags of fertiliser. Crews used 2 hose reel jets, 2 breathing apparatus, 2 main jets and lighting. Crews are currently providing a watching brief at this incident.
21:11, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm with good intent.
05:29, Whitby
A crew from Whitby responded to a false alarm with malicious intent. No fire was found at this property.
Automatic fire alarms occurred in Harrogate .All were investigated and confirmed as false alarms.
