Incident Summary – Day Shift, Wednesday 18th December
To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.
Time: 09.20 Location: York
The crew from Acomb responded to an incident where there was flooding inside a premises. Crews used Environment pack, contained the flood to one room and left the premises awaiting an emergency plumber.
Time: 09.52 Location: Whitby
Our colleagues in the Police and Ambulance Service requested our assistance to gain entry to a property for medical purposes. The crew from Whitby used lock snappers to access the property and left the casualty in the hands of the Ambulance crew.
Time: 12.02 Location: Huntington
The crew from Acomb responded to a report of some loose facia trim which was hanging from a building and posing a danger to the public. Crews used the Ariel Ladder Platform to remove the trim from the building.
Time: 13.07 Location: York
The crew from York responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. This was found to be a false alarm due to a system test.
Time: 14.44 Location: York
The crew from York assisted a person who had fallen over outside the station. Crew administered first aid and gave advice.
Time: 15.55 Location: Selby
The crew from Selby were requested to assist Ambulance to gain entry to a property for medical purposes. The patient was left in the care of paramedics.
