Incident Summary – Monday Nightshift, 6th January 2025

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Time:  17:41   Location: Stokesley

A crew from Northallerton assisted carers with gaining entry to a property after the occupant inside had fallen and was unable to move. Crews gained access with lock snappers. Uninjured occupant was left with in the car of carers and family members.

Time: 20:28    Location: West Rounton

Northallerton and Thirsk crews responded to a large brick built garden shed on fire. Hose reels used to extinguish.

Time: 20:54   Location: Scarborough

Scarborough crew responded to a fire in a wooded area. The cause is believed to had been deliberate. Hose reel used to extinguish.

Time: 21:32   Location: Acomb

Acomb crew assisted paramedics with the extrication of a casualty inside their property to the awaiting ambulance outside. Crew power and drag sheet used.

Time: 22:09   Location: Stokesley

Stokely crew responded to assist paramedics gain entry to a property so that they could assist an occupant inside who had fallen. Prior to crews arrival, paramedic had gained entry. Stokesley then completed a fire safety inspection of the property before leaving.

Crews from Scarborough(x3), Harrogate(x2), Knaresborough, Easingwold and Filey also responded to activated fire alarms inside commercial and residential buildings. After inspection, these were confirmed false alarms.
