Following a chimney fire the previous night, crew revisited an address to carry out further checks. On arrival crews carried out an inspection and found some of the roof joists to be smoldering. Crew removed roof tiles to expose the joists and worked to cut away the affected areas of the joists.

14:35 York

Crews from York and Acomb were mobilised to reports of a washing machine on fire. This was a false alarm caused by a failed bearing. Crew removed the washing machine from the property.

15:02 Filey

Crew from Filey responded to reports of an oven on fire at a domestic premise. This was out on arrival of crews who assisted with ventilating the property.

16:00 Crockey Hill

Crew from York and an animal rescue unit from Tadcaster responded to a horse that had fallen on ice and was unable to get back to its feet. This incident remains ongoing.
