Incident Summary –Night Shift, Thursday 9th January 2025

Time:  19.02  Location:  Selby

The crew from Selby responded to a report from a neighbour of a fire alarm sounding in a property.  After an inspection of the perimeter of the premises it was found to be a false alarm.

Time:  20.37  Location:  Skipton

The crew from Skipton responded to a report of a chimney fire at a premises.  On thorough inspection of the premises no chimney fire was found. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire in the hearth and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots and gave advice to the responsible person.

Time:  00.45  Location: Tadcaster

The crew from Tadcaster responded to an automatic fire alarm. After thorough external inspection with the Thermal Image Camera, this was found to be a false alarm.

Time:  02:51  Location: Stokesley 

A crew from Stokesley responded to a request for assistance in gaining access to a residential property where there were concerns for the occupant inside. Crews attempted to make contact with the occupant but were unable to so gained access via the front door. Crews and carers located the occupant safe and well. Crews then isolated a water leak that had been affecting the property below. The incident was left with carers.
