Incident Summary – Saturday Dayshift, 11th January 2025

Time: 08:31 Location: York
York crew were mobilised to assist council workers with gaining entry to a property after a care alarm activation inside the domestic property had no response from the occupant. Crews gained entry using a door enforcer and found the occupant inside, uninjured but on the floor. Crews moved the occupant to a safe location and the incident was left with the council responders.
Time: 10:03 Location: Easingwold
A crew from Easingwold responded to flooding inside a domestic premises. Crews gained entry to isolate the utilities to stop the leak. The council were also informed to grit the road due to the water leak moving outside and causing ice on the road outside.
Time: 11:26 Location: Bedale
A crew from Northalelrton gained entry to a property for a first responder to complete a welfare check of an occupant inside. Crews used a lock snapper to gain entry. The incident was left in hands of the first responder who resumed care of the occupant.
Time: 12:32 Location: Easingwold
A crew from Easingwold responded to flooding inside the garage of a domestic property which and started to flood the attached property. Crews isolated the utilities to stop the flooding and gave advice to the owner.
Time: 13:06 Location: Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a burst water pipe threatening to leak into nearby residential properties. Crews isolated the utilities with small tools to temporarily fix the leak. The occupant was then found to discuss what further action was required.
Time: 13:11 Location: Scabororugh
One of our officers assessed the damage to a building after a previous road traffic collision incident police had dealt with. Our officer gave advice to, cordoned off the area as a temporary measure and requested the responsible person seek further advice from a specialist. Incident was left with police and highways to shut section of the road around the damaged wall.

A crew from Easingwold responded to reports of a chimney fire inside a domestic property. The fire was out prior to crews arrival however chimney rods and a hose reel jet were used to dampen down the hotspots. Advice was given to the occupier.
