Incident Summary – Thursday 16th January 2025, Day shift

08:13 – Harrogate

Crews from Harrogate responded to a report of a multiple vehicle road traffic collision. On arrival of crews, all occupants were out of the vehicles and no fire service action was required. The incident was left in the hands of police and ambulance crews.

10:38 – Selby

A crew from Selby responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential premises. This was a false alarm due to bugs in the detector.

13:53 – Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request for assistance from ambulance crews with moving a casualty from a residential property. Crews used crew power to move the casualty downstairs and into the ambulance.

13:56 – Harrogate 

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a member of public stuck in a lift. Crews used lift tools to release the individual and informed the lift company of the failure. Advice was given to a responsible person.

14:59 – Kirkbymoorside 

Crews from Kirkbymoorside, Malton, Thirsk, Scarborough and an aerial ladder platform responded to a report of a fire in a residential property. **This incident is ongoing** 

15:10 – York 

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a fire in a commercial premises. Crews located a small fire in an extraction unit of a coffee roaster. Crews had emptied beans from the roaster and extinguished them prior to fire service arrival. Crews extinguished the fire in the extractor unit that was caused by overheated coffee burns.

16:09 – Harrogate 

A crew from Harrogate responded to a request for assistance from ambulance crews to gain entry to a residential property where they had concerns for the occupant. Crews gained access to the property and assisted ambulance crews to transfer the casualty to the ambulance.

16:24 – Scarborough 

A crew from Filey responded to a request for assistance from ambulance crews to assist gaining entry to a residential property where they had concerns for the occupant. Crews gained access to the property and ambulance crews found the occupant was not in the property. The incident was left in the hands of ambulance crews.
