Incident Summary – Day Shift, Saturday 18th January
To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.
Time: 09.17 Location: Scarborough
The crew from Scarborough responded to a report of an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. This was found to be a false alarm due to a faulty detector head.
Time: 11.51 Location: York
Crew from York responded to a report of a fire in a bin in a residential area. This was found to be a controlled burn under supervision.
Time: 14.39 Location: Tadcaster
Crews from Tadcaster and York attended a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews administered first aid to one of the vehicle occupants and made the scene safe. The casualty was left in the hands of paramedics.
Time: 15.15 Location: York
Crews from York, Acomb, Easingwold and Malton responded to a fire to a barn. This incident is ongoing at the time of publication.
Time: 16.12 Location: Selby
Selby crew responded to a report from a member of public of a fire in a derelict building. This was found to be approximately 10 x 10 metres of waste at the side of the building. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Time: 16.32 Location: A1 Leeming Bar
Crews from Ripon, Thirsk and Northallerton responded to a report of a trailer on fire on the A1. At time of publication crews were using 1 hose reel jet and 2 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Incident ongoing.
