Incident Summary – 18th January 2025, Night shift

17:35 – A19 Easingwold 

A crew from Boroughbridge responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision in which the vehicle had left the road. On arrival of crews, all occupants were out of the vehicle. 1 walking wounded casualty was left in the care of the police. No fire service action was required, the incident was left in the hands of the police.

17:58 – Melrosegate, York

Crews from Malton and Easingwold responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision in which the car had collided with a tree trapping one casualty in the rear of the vehicle. Crews carried extricated the casualty from the vehicle and handed them into the care of ambulance crews.

19:06 – Northallerton 

A crew from Northallerton responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential premises. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector.

19:33 – Kirkbymoorside

A crew from Helmsley responded to a report of a fire seen to the rear of a residential property which was found to be attended controlled burning.

21:37 – Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a chimney fire in a residential premises. This was found to be a fire to a log burning stove and chimney – out on their arrival. Fire crew removed the fire from the hearth and remained for some time attempting to cool the chimney while checking for hotspots.

23:04 – Acomb 

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential premises. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector.

03:04 – Beningbrough

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of an alarm activation at a premises. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector.

04:48 – York

A crew from York responded to a report of an alarm activation at a commercial premises. On arrival, no alarm sounding. External search carried out. Police informed of a burglar alarm sounding a few shops down same street.
