Time: 08:21 Location: Welburn

A fire officer attended a road to investigate reports from police of a car fire which was burnt out. Fire Control haven’t had any calls over the last 24 hours reporting a car fire. The officer attended and found that the car had been involved in an RTC having collided with a number of things before coming to rest in a field. The fire was fully extinguished an no persons on scene at time of our attendance. Incident left with police due to possible deliberate ignition.

Time: 08:52  Location: Markington, Ripon

Fire Control received a call from occupants of a property after their sauna set on fire. The fire caused extensive damage to the timber clad outbuilding & rest area measuring approx 5m x 8m. The cause is thought to be accidental and fire crews from Harrogate and Ripon used 2 hose reel jets, breathing apparatus, a triple extension ladder and lighting.

Time: 10:12  Location: Malton

Malton crew attended a premises after a report of a number of persons stuck inside a lift. Upon arrival at scene all persons had been released and the crew gave advice.

Time: 13:29  Location: River Ouse, York

York and Acomb crew were called to reports of a passenger vessel on fire on the river. Upon arrival they found there to be a fire in the engine compartment of a marine vessel. The Co2 fire suppression system had activated and crews used a hose reel, thermal imaging and breathing apparatus to investigate. The fire damage was confined to the engine compartment and no persons were on board at the time.

Acomb crew attended a report of a small fire in the open. Upon arrival this was found to be controlled burning under supervision and advice was given.

Time: 16:43 Location: Malton

A fire crew from Malton attended a report of a motorbike on fire. This then spread to a car parked nearby, crews are currently still on scene damping down.
