Incident summary – Wednesday 22nd Jan night shift

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

17:13 Sessay

Thirsk crews responded to reports of a fire sighted in the open. After inspection crews confirmed this was a bonfire under control. Fire Service intervention was not required.

22:57 Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough responded to a camper van fire. After arrival crew confirmed occupant of camper van had extinguished the fire prior to their arrival. Occupant was suffering from smoke inhalation so crew administered first aid until arrival of paramedics.

Automatic fire alarm activations occurred in Selby, York and Whitby Crews investigated the cause of the alarms and all were confirmed as false alarms.
