Incident Summary – Night Shift Thursday 23rd January 2025
To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.
Time: 17:26 Location: North Lees, Ripon
Ripon crew responded to a report of a fire in the open. Upon arrival they found a large bonfire measuring 5m x 5m well alight and extinguished this using a hose reel jet due to there being no responsible persons in attendance at the time and the forecast for high winds tonight.
Time: 18:00 Location: Skipton
One of our Skipton crews assisted our colleagues in the Ambulance service with the extrication of a casualty from the first floor of a property into an awaiting ambulance. The crew were able to utilise Yorkshire Ambulance Service and use crew power to assist.
Time: 18:39 Location: Tunstall, Colburn
The Richmond fire crew investigated after Fire Control received a report of a fire in a field. Upon arrival they found this to be a controlled burn under supervision and gave advice to the owners. No further action was taken.
Throughout the night various crews from across the county responded to automatic fire alarms. These were all false alarms.
