08:34, Wetherby
Two crews from Tadcaster assisted colleagues at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue at an incident in their area.
08:58, Glasshouses
A crew from Ripon responded to a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to gain entry to a property for the paramedics. Crews used a door enforcer to gain entry to the property. The casualty within the property were taken to hospital via road ambulance.
09:00, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a van on fire. The fire was contained to objects in the rear of a transit van. Supermarket staff extinguished the fire prior to arrival with an extinguisher and bucketed water from the flower display. Crews damped down with a bucket of water and investigated using a thermal imaging camera. The cause was believed to be electrical.
10:20, Colne Road, Glusburn
A crew from Skipton, alongside a crew from Silsden (West Yorkshire) responded to reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision. There were no persons trapped and no action was required from the fire service.
10:30, York
A crew from York responded to a request from YAS to gain entry to a property for paramedics where a casualty had fallen within the property. Crews used a hooligan tool to gain access to the property.
11:00, Cross Hills
An officer responded to reports of a late fire call, where hot ashes had set rubbish on fire within a bin. The officer inspected only and gave advice.
12:05, York
A crew from York responded to reports of a boiler which had exploded. On arrival, crews found a burst hot water pipe leaking within a ground floor flat, into a communal area. The leak was causing significant water and steam damage to premises. The crew used small tools to isolate the water supply and the incident was handed over to the housing association maintenance team.
13:34, Selby
Crews from Selby and York responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding and an air fryer issuing smoke. This was a false alarm, caused by cooking fumes.
13:48, Northallerton
A crew from Northallerton responded to reports of a spill of approximately 2 liters of diesel from a vehicle as it drove off earlier this morning. Crews absorbed the spill using sand, and cordoned off the area.
14:32, York
Crews from York and Acomb responded to reports of a smell of electrical burning in a residential premises. The smell was caused by a remote control toy which had been set on fire. The fire was out on arrival of crews and advice was given to the responsible person.
14:44, Whitby
A crew from Whitby responded to a wheelie bin fire. The fire had been extinguished prior to the arrival of the crew. The crew used a hose reel jet to dampen down the area.
14:50, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate attended an incident involving a toddler locked in a car. The crew liaised with a parent on scene, and decided to await the arrival of the other parent who had a key, rather than effect entry as the toddler was asleep.
16:45, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of smoke covering a road. Crews extinguished a small fire using a hose reel jet.
