Incident summary – Night shift Wed 12th March

Time: 19:43 Location: York
Acomb crews were requested to assist with gaining entry to a flat due to water leaking into flat below. Crews gained entry and gave advice to flat residents.
Time: 23:10 Location: Easingwold
Crew from Easingwold responded to reports of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision where a vehicle had then impacted a building. On arrival of crews the car was found to have not impacted any building. All occupants were out on arrival. Crew carried out scene safety only.
Time: 00:11 Location: Wetherby
Crews from Tadcaster responded to reports of a smell of burning inside a property. On arrival this was found to be a false alarm caused by smoke from a neighbors log burner.
Time: 00:50 Location: Spofforth
Crew from Harrogate used a triple extension ladder to gain entry to a property for ambulance crews. Occupant was then left in the care of paramedics.

Selby crew responded to a fire alarm activation in a commercial property. After inspection this was confirmed to be a false alarm
Time: 06:28 Location: A1 S J50 – 51
Bedale, Northallerton and Ripon crews responded to a vehicle fire on the hard shoulder of the A1. Ripon crew on arrival confirmed a single vehicle road traffic collision, fire was out and no people were trapped. Crew assisted Police and Ambulance at the scene. No further appliances were required.
