Incident Summary – Day Shift, Sunday 27th April

Time: 09.29 Location: York
Crew from Acomb responded to a report of an automatic fire alarm activation in a residential premises. This was found to be a false alarm due to a faulty call point.
Time: 10.04 Location: Selby
Crews from Selby responded to a report of smoke sighted in a premises. This was found to be a smoke cloak that had been activated due to a burglar alarm.
Time: 11.57 Location: Whitby
Crew from Whitby attended a report of a person that had accidentally got locked into a vehicle. Crews used glass management tool to release the person from the vehicle.
Time: 11.58 Location: Summerbridge
Crews from Ripon responded to a report of a fire in a wooded area. The fire was found to be deep seated and crews used 1 hose reel jet, lance, thermal image camera, turfer and winch, reciprocating saw and small tools to extinguish.
Time: 13.33 Location: York
The Crew from York responded to a report of a fire to a bin. Crews used buckets of water to extinguish the fire.
Time: 13.56 Location: Acomb
Crews from Acomb and York responded to an automatic fire alarm activation in a residential premises. This was a false alarm due to burnt cooking.
