Crew from Skipton responded to reports of a fire sighted on a hillside. On arrival this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice given.

Crew from Selby and York responded to reports of a fire amongst some industrial building. On arrival this was found to be a controlled burn on some wasteland. Advice given.

Crew from Tadcaster and Acomb were mobilised to reports of a caravan on fire. On arrival crews found the caravan alight and extinguished using 1 hose reel jet. The caravan was 100% fire damaged.

Crew from Hawes were mobilised to reports of a large fire in a field. On arrival this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice given.
Time: 23:26 Location: Bedale
Crew from Bedale responded to reports of a park bench on fire. Crew used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the bench and also a nearby bin. The cause is believed deliberate.
Time: 00:07 Location: Scarborough
Crew from Scarborough responded to an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. On arrival on scene crews immediately requested additional appliances after discovering the first floor flat was well alight. Crews from Robin hoods bay and Filey were mobilised in support. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets to fight the fire on both the first floor and the ground floor. The cause of this fire is to be determined.

Fire Control received a number of calls to reports of a car on fire. Upon arrival the vehicle was described as ‘well alight’. Fire crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hoses to extinguish the fire.
During the night crews from York, Skipton and Scarborough responded to automatic fire alarm activations. These were found to be false alarms.
