Incident Summary – 2nd June 2025, Monday Dayshift

Time: 07:07 Location: Acomb
Crews from Acomb, York and Tadcaster responded to a biomass boiler on fire. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and then spent time damping down until the fire was extinguished. Advice was given to the owner.
Time: 11:13 Location: York
York crew assisted a person who had fallen from their mobility scooter. Crew power was used to lift the uninjured driver of the scooter back to a safe position. Crews left after the driver was confirmed uninjured.
Time: 11:15 Location: Acomb
A crew from Acomb used a environmental pack to clear leaking fuel from a vehicle in a residential area. The incident was left with the vehicle owner awaiting recovery.
Time: 11:54 Location: Boroughbridge
A crew from Ripon assisted ambulance with the extrication of a casualty from inside their property to the awaiting ambulance outside. Incident was left with ambulance crews.
Time: 13:14 Location: Selby
A crew from Selby responded to a fire outside a residential property. Crews arrived to find the fire had been extinguished by a neighbour using a hose pipe. One hose reel jet was used to dampen down remaining hotspots whilst a thermal imaging camera scan was conducted. Advice was given.
Time: 14:13 Location: Acomb
Ripon’s animal rescue unit attended a deer trapped in a culvert. Crew power, and animal rescue equipment was used to remove the uninjured deer from the drain.
Time: 14:58 Location: Northallerton
A crew from Northallerton responded to a fire measuring 2 metres by 2 metres consisting of branches, twigs and bits of tree trunk. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
Time: 16:07 Location: Acomb
Acomb and Knaresborough responded to shed on fire. Hose reel jets are currently in use and this incident is still on going.
Time: 16:10 Location: Huntington
Malton, York and Pickering responded to a road traffic collision. All persons were out prior to crews arrival. Crews assisted police and ambulance with scene safety before leaving scene.
Time: 16:35 Location: Selby
A crew from Selby are currently in attendance at a large fire on waste land. Crews are extinguishing the fire with a hose reel jet and advice has been given to the land owner.
Pickering crew responded to a activated fire alarm. After inspection, these were all confirmed as false alarms.
